BLESSED SOUND MUSIC STUDIO

Wedding Music
The music at your wedding may be one of the last things thought of, but it's one of the most important!
What type of atmosphere have you always wanted? For me, personally, I love harp! It's such an elegant instrument, timeless and beautiful. Did you know the earliest known exsistence of harps were found in Mesopetamia as early as 4000BC? They were used for all sorts of things, particularly in ceremonies!
The harp as we know it came into play in the 8th and 10th Centueries AD in Europe, and were used in royal courts, for all types of noble events, gatherings, and ceremonies.
Since then, it has remained a timeless classic, enjoyed by nearly anyone who has heard it played.
Fun Fact
My harp is a Model E Linrud Harp, and was made between 1950 and 1970 by Earl Linrud Thompson, who was known for his innovative designs in using fiberglass to make the soundboard, which gives it an unusual bell like tone, rather than the "twang" some harps can have.
However, while most of his 31 string fiberglass harps were made with silver, this particular harp was colored gold! Very few of these harps have survived, even less of the rare gold painted variety, and it's considered a collectable now for harp enthusiasts.
This harp was likely custom designed by Linrud, and makes it all the more unique!

If you want a jazz, classical, or romantic mood for your event; I can create it! I have experience in many different styles of playing, and have an extensive repertoire of music to choose from. You get to pick music and create a unique folder for your event, and if you have a song in mind that is not among my collection, feel free to ask. I'm always on the search for good music to enjoy. All I ask is we meet in person to discuss your music choices, the order of music or service, and confirm the length of time.
For weddings, I will be present at the rehearsal to accurately predict the timing of the wedding party as they walk down the aisle. Believe it or not, every church, event center, and field aisle is different, and will affect the smoothness of transitional chords and endings.

Guidelines for securing my services:

-
First off, why the prices? Well, please remember that while you're preparing for your event, I will also be preparing! In order for your event to run smoothly, the music must be played well, and this means I spend hours upon hours practicing and preparing the music for your event. Therefore you are not only paying for my services the day of, but the time leading up to it as well.
-
A non-refundable downpayment consisting of 50% of your final total is required to reserve a booking for my services. The other 50% of the payment will be expected the week of or morning of the event. If you choose to cancel, this deposit will not be refunded.
-
A minimum of one in-person meeting is required to secure a booking with me. This is to secure my time, make necessary arrangments for music, and to get a feel for one another. A booking will only be confirmed after a signed contract that says, to paraphrase, you agree to pay me upon the date of the event and that yes, I agree to perform my best at your event. It says other things too, but you can read it once we meet.
-
Please be in communication with me at least 3 months before your event takes place, since I need an appropriate amount of time to prepare and allot days. If you're desperate for music, and the event is 7 days to 10 minutes away, you can still contact me and options can be negotiated if possible. Last minute reservations must still be paid in full.
-
Travel Costs: An event within 20 miles of me will not be expected to pay a travel cost/fee. Anything further will require $30 per hour of travel time, and fuel costs as relating to current average gas prices in the state of travel for a round-trip. This will also include travel time for a rehearsal if needed. i.e., if your event is an hour away from me, you will be charged $60 for the round-trip plus fuel costs. If a rehearsal is needed, then you will be charged another $60 plus fuel costs. So, added up, it would be $120 plus fuel costs based on the average price in the state of travel.
-
If your wedding is 2.5+ hours away from me, you will be required to reimburse for lodging costs if needed, as this would mean I would possibly drive up the day before the event, find lodging, perform at your event, and likely not be able to return to Broken Arrow until the following day of the event. This type of booking would also require a full day event booking.

Cancelation Policy

Let's face it, life happens. Events get cancelled, and I'm no stranger to complications. Should a cancellation occur, your downpayment will not be refunded. 3 to 4 week away cancellations will still be expected to pay the 50% of the final total payment amount, and a cancellation of 2 weeks or less away from the event will be expected to pay the final total in full. This is because in allotting my time to you, I will have had to turn away other potential clients, and a cancellation could potentially be detrimental to my business.
