Hello everyone! My name is Sarah Hinman, the musician and teacher for Blessed Sound Music Studio.

Blessed Sound Music Studio is located in Washington State, local to Snohomish and Skagit counties.

This studio provides high-quality, in-person music for events on piano, harp, or voice. I play music for weddings, galas, funerals, and other events with background music.

Blessed Sound Music Studio also provides music lessons with a small variety of instruments I’ve learned over the years. I give high-quality lessons for an affordable price, as I know firsthand how detrimental it is to switch between teachers frequently.

My musical journey began at the age of five, when I fell in love with the Irish Folk Harp. My parents agreed I could learn the harp with one condition: That I learn the piano first. Once I reached an advanced level, I could begin the harp.

I started learning the piano when I was six, and by the time I turned ten, I was playing four other instruments besides the piano. That summer, I finally reached my goal: advanced music in piano. I was given my first Folk Harp and began to learn how to play it.

Throughout my teenage years, I learned other instruments through Cascade Academy of Music and Arts and acted as choir pianist for many other co-ops and choirs. I have participated in multiple music competitions, both for the Academy and private lessons.

I’ve played for several events, including weddings both in and out of state, as well as galas, teas, and social events. Through my experiences, I’ve learned how to be flexible in teaching styles and program changes.

At fifteen years old, I began teaching as a student teacher through Cascade Academy of Music and Arts, and quickly discovered how much I enjoyed doing so. I’ve taught over thirty students in my building career and enjoyed each and every experience.

Now, I play piano for services at my home church and share the responsibility of choir pianist with another talented young woman. I teach a class at Cascade Academy of Music and Arts, and private lessons as well.

When I’m not playing music, I can be found with my nose in a book, gardening, painting, or drawing.

I've taught piano for over five years, and have enjoyed every second of it! I discovered my love of teaching when my brother decided to take up a different career, and gave me the opportunity to take his place. From the first lessons to now, I have enjoyed every moment. I intend to continue teaching until I can no longer do so.

I have played for many Choirs, Ensembles, and Small Groups.

From Church Choir Pianist, to the Main Pianist for Cascade Academy of Music and Arts, I have had ample experience in the world of accompanying, which is a difficult skill to learn and gain.

I've had experience playing for events throughout Washington and out of state.  My desire is to keep my services affordable for people who want live music. I enjoy using these opportunities to use the gifts God has given me to bless others.

I have taught many children with special needs, and am comfortable with doing so. My experience includes working with those who have Autism, Anxiety, ADHD, and FASD. I'm aware of the challenges these difficulties present and am prepared to handle them. I have a unique perspective on dealing with special needs children, as my family has had experience through foster care and adoption.
